Stop to enjoy the view. Always reflect and learn…
First things first. On the 22nd and 29th Core Data workshop. If you want to join, scroll down and hit that ticket button. A whole lot of Practical Core Data, a bit of SwiftUI and Combine. All brought to you by Donny Wals. Sounds like a recipe for a very cool workshop you do not want to miss.
On my podcast pivot I can tell you the following. I have an initial experiment planned. Just to feel the water. With the help of Chris, Malin and Josh I will be checking the idea and who knows what'll come from this. I expect to share the first result sometime in May at the earliest.
In the mean time I still have a number of interviews ready for you. Like Stephanie on Thursday, Ting next week and Roxana the week after that. After that hopefully Oscar, Steward, Matteo, Jordi, Dave, Dominic, Filip and Reinder. Great people in our iOS developer community, as all my previous guests. I am surprised and humbled by how willing people are in cooperating with me. Getting such uniform positive response to my requests for interviews is amazing.
In this month's newsletter you can also read about:

And before I wrap up this intro, I'd like to mention the fact that one of the most enjoyable things I have been doing lately is writing this newsletter.

Work/life balance…
A lot going on right now. Home improvement, my daughter's challenges at school, me rechonizing what my daughter is going through from my own childhood. Suffice to say, it's been a lot.
My place of work has allowed me to reflect on things. And not a moment too late I think. The first week of my leave I only got more tired by not doing much at all.
I did allow myself to spend a relaxing amount of effort on things I really enjoy as a hobby, just to stay connected with people on a personal level without the pressure of delivering things on schedule. One of the things that pushed me into self awareness was a twitter comment on one of my podcast episodes. It was about me sounding tired and taking care of myself. Great comment. I consider myself very lucky with being "in time" and all the support and help I am getting.
So what is next? I am taking a more relaxed approach with me wanting my podcast to grow. The pivot wil happen. Most important, I am looking to improve and tune my hobbies in a direction that I like. If I enjoy myself even more while creating my content, my assumption will be my listeners will hear/read that and our connection will only get stronger as time passes. I love hearing back from you as a listener of this newsletter.
5 years ago I went on a journey out of a consulting role because I needed to refocus my priorities and had to do something different. Now I enjoy the results of that change. Now it is time for another round of reflection and optimization. I expect great things and invite you to be a participant in specific parts of this journey by enjoying the content I create.
