AppForce1: A Core Data workshop and more
A little over 3 months ago I hit publisch on my first episode and since then I received over 5000 downloads of my podcast. For any regular website, that doesn't seem big. But for a podcast in its first year this is huge. I am so thankful for all the feedback I have been getting the past few weeks. So thank you for all the kind words and feedback. I published 14 interviews and have scheduled 16 more. I created 14 regular weekly episodes. I also just got started coaching Sam for my Coaching for free section in my podcast. More on that in a future newsletter. In this newsletter I'd like to highlight a few things.
- An amazing Core Data workshop Donny Wals and I have created.
- Results of the podcasting goals I started with.
- The AppForce1 podcast party.
- The latest special episodes.

iOS Core Data Workshop by Donny Wals
With the help of Donny Wals I am organizing a Core Data workshop on April 22 and April 29. We’ve chosen times that are convenient for multiple timezones around the world.
Donny has been practical experience with Core Data, Combine and teaching. Through his book Doony was able to share his knowledge to a wider audience. Donny is an expert on Core Data. He has written one of the best received recent books on the topic of Core Data. Donny has also written an amazing book about the Combine framework called Practical Combine.

Podcasting goals
When I started my podcast I created some goals for myself. My aim was to reach those goals by for January 20th, 2021.
Create at least 14 episodes.
- Grow my podcast to reach 200 downloads in the first 7 days after publishing.
- Create a twitter following of 300 on my @AppForce1 handle.
I went passed my first goals without a problem. I just launched my latest special and I now average out on 28 episodes to 180 downloads. Pretty much the same as I mentioned earlier this week on Twitter. But my goal is 200 downloads in the first 7 days. On that goal I am now at atleast 140+. So still some work to do I guess.
My tweets are getting to more and more people already. Which is good, because it allows me to share all the fun iOS development news to more and more people. I am still 52 followers short of my initial goal of 300.
You can help by sharing my podcast with friends and collegues. So please hit that subscribe button and let your network know what you think of my podcast.
Also, subscribe and review me on Apple Podcast or your other preferred platform. If you do, please post a screenshot of your review on Twitter and mention @AppForce1. If you do, I will send you a 40% discount code for the book I am working on. Being a Lead Software developer.
